Frog Temple is excited to welcome back Cara Reeser, owner of Pilates Aligned in Denver, Colorado. Cara's topic for the weekend workshop will be:
Shoulder and Pelvic Complexes: Common Postural Disorders & Injuries
This new workshop, part of the Deeper Perspectives Series, is being presented for the first time at Frog Temple! Led by Master Instructor, Cara Reeser, the workshop will focus on identifying and overcoming common weaknesses and mobility issues in the shoulder and pelvic complexes caused by postural and injury issues.
Day 1: Using Pilates vocabulary and equipment, participants will work together to develop exercises that will assist clients in developing uniform muscular development and healthy range of motion of these areas.
Day 2: Exploring the intricate relationships of the (thoracic and cervical) spine to the shoulders, and the tail and lumbar spine to the pelvis, participants will experiment with movement ideas starting at a micro level finally moving toward some of the most complicated Pilates Mat, Reformer, and Low Chair exercises. Come ready to move and play!
Specifically, direct approaches will be offered in working with kyphosis, lorodosis, hyper and hypo mobility, soft tissue injury, joint disease and imbalances due to holding patterns and weaknesses.
12 hour Continuing Education Credits.
Workshop Pricing is $200 for one day (Saturday or Sunday), $350 for both days.
Saturday schedule is 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday schedule is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday night master class will start at 6:00 p.m. and last for 90 minutes.
